Donald Joseph Qualls - better popularly known as DJ Qualls - is a model, actor, and producer from the US. After gaining fame through his role in Road Trip he has since played in more than 20 feature films, including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. He also has appeared on over 22 television shows including Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. Qualls, who was diagnosed at 14 years old with Hodgkin lymphoma, is a resilient fighter. Two years after treatment, his cancer is in the process of remission. Treatment at a young stage had a negative effect on the body. This impeded his growth. As he began to take action, financial stability appeared to be his goal. The man had experienced hardship in his early years. When he was interviewed, he mentioned that if I do not have financial stability or I have a feeling of being out of touch with the world, then I'm going to feel miserable. He also looks back at his youth and hopes to do something about the problem of bullies. "Cruelty makes me cry," he said. On and off film, DJ's character would like to play the role of a father. He does however admit that the directors rarely make him the ideal choice for those kinds of characters. He'd like to be a dad one day, in order to spend more time to the child and less to his career.
