Nancy Wilson (jazz singer) was born to Olden Wilson who was the Chillicothe ironworker on the 20th of February, 1937. She was the daughter of Lillian Ryan worked as housekeeper. Cannonball told her she should make the move into New York and go to The Big Town to further her career. The singer was brought in to sing in The Blue Morocco Night Club in The Bronx, where Adderley's agent had heard her.
